Capitol Insurrection — It Is What It Is

And to think, that the man responsible still feels he did nothing wrong. Note, he was suppose to walk with these people, however, it is rumored that he was advised against it and is said to have held a “Capitol Watch Party,” something to make you think hmmm.

Thank you, “It Is What It Is,” for reposting this. I so agree with you about this attack on the Capitol being quite scary. Since the attack, we have learned so much about how this was not at all a peaceful rally or protest. These people never even had the word peaceful in their minds when they marched on the capitol. They were definitely out for blood.

You know what’s so very ironic, is that when the members of the Black Lives Matters, were protesting, last year, people were all up in arms. The negativity was so thick, and the news media had no problem showing their disdain. But knowing that this “Out for Blood,” mob came equipped with blueprints, memorized locations of where top officials offices were located, or worst were aided by members of Congress, to do the unspeakably, the outrage is still not as brutal as it was for the BLM protestors.

Yes, some of the protestors got out of hand, yes property was destroyed, and there is no excuse for that. Still, I just wonder if the way in which the Capital Storming was handled, would have been handled the same way if the crowd were of a Black majority instead of a White majority. I believe the phrase “hmmm,” is needed here as well.

Happy New Year! Bring On 2021!

Happy New Year Everyone!

I don’t know about you, but I was so very happy to bid the year 2020 farewell. 2020 will undoubtfully be a memorable year for years to come.

Sadly, it will probably be coined, “The Year of the Corona Virus.” With the millions of lives that have been taken away all over the world. Yes, I am sure most of us will agree wholeheartedly, that we are all due a do-over, an opportunity to make new and happier memories.

I sincerely am hoping that by the time the Winter has changed into Spring, and all of the snow has melted from the ground, brining about fresh leaves and pretty flowers that this awful virus will had succumb to the change of seasons and has disappeared allowing us to prepare for the Summer and make newer and better memories for the year 2021.

Of course there are other things that the year 2020 will be remembered for such as, “The Word of the Year, as reported by I came this article entitled: “2020 in a Nutshell” Lockdown – Named word of the Year,” by Collins Dictionary. The article offers up words that were extremely popular last year, an interesting read. For more details, feel free to click here, to read the full article.

The initials BLM (Black Lives Matter) along with bringing about awareness to its movement, was widely used with hashtags on social media. The usage of #BLM became highly utilized and popularized by the death (killing) of Mr. George Floyd (RIP) while in police custody. #BLM continued to be used again and again while protesting other Black individuals who’d lost their lives by the hands of so-called law enforcement agents, and or Racist individuals.

Here are the names of other Black Americans who lost their lives in the year 2020 by hands of the police.

Rayshard Brooks, 27, His crime: Fell asleep in his car, blocking the drive-through lane at the fast-food restaurant.

Daniel Prude, 47- His crime: He ran onto the street naked, while experiencing a mental health episode.

Breonna Taylor, 26- Her crime: Being asleep at home in her bed.

Ahmaud Arbery, 23-His Crime: Going out for a Sunday morning jog.

I can’t begin to describe the sadness that comes over me, every time I hear about a Black person losing their lives at the hand of a police officer, (a city servant who took an oath, to serve and protect all. Here’s a Newsflash: We live in a society where people are considered innocent until proven guilty. Honesty, how hard is it really to see past the color of one’s skin and dig deeper to find out what a person is really about?

On a finer note, there are two more words that I would like to share with you that were in the article and they are Tik Tokers and Mukbang. I am sure by now you have either seen, or have heard about Tik Tok. You’ve probably even participated in sharing videos of your own on the social media platform. If you haven’t well, I recommend that you download the app, there are so many funny videos to see. You know what they say, “Laugher is good for the soul.”

Mukbang is a South Korean trend of video bloggers eating large quantities of food in one setting. Usually, the people eating these large quantities of food are so very thin, that it is unbelievable that they can put away so much food. It’s really amazing to see someone so tiny put away 6 or 7 servings of food. And some of the food is quite exotic and sometimes alive. But hey, don’t take my word for it, click here to see a young woman not just eat a tray of various seafood, but prepare them as well. give it a look see.

I hope you’re doing well! Enjoy your Sunday! And don’t forget to comment below your thoughts.

Black Lives Matter: Six Poems — Discover

I am sharing this post that I found on “Discover,” because “Black Lives Matter,” and because there are way too many Black individuals who have and are still losing their lives by the hands of the police. The infusement of hatred and bigotry that is being so brazenly diplayed by individuals who seem to reap joy in hurting other human beings, because of the color of their skin, race, religion, and sexual preferences, has to stop. It really should not be so hard for those who harnest so much disdain towards others to just live their lives and allow others to live theirs.

I’ve read and listened to each of the poems here and boy did they touch my soul, and so I am sharing them with you here. Thanks “Discover,” ever so much for posting them.

Poetry can often channel grief, pain, solidarity, and resistance in ways that everyday language can’t.

Positive Trump — It Is What It Is

Positive Trump — It Is What It Is

Happy Friday To You All!

Here’s wishing everyone a wonderful day and a fantastic weekend!

Did You Watch The Debate Last Night?

Did you watch the first Presidential debate between Biden and Trump? The topic for last night’s debate were as follows: Trump & Biden’s Records, The Supreme Court, Covid-19, The Economy, Race and Violence in the Cities, The Integrity of the Election, and Trump’s taxes. If you watched the Presidential debate, you were probably just as pissed off as I was with the behavior of Trump. It was a catastrophe, however, if you asked my opinion as to who won the debate, I would have to side with Biden, because he was the opponent who did his best in answering questions and in giving out factual information. What are your thoughts?

Joe Biden did his best to answer the questions put before him by Wallace, however, Trump just would not allow it. He was a five year old on a school playground, throwing out insults, misinformation, and intimidation. It was terrible. Trump never answered any questions directly, he began answering, but always found a way to steer his answers in direction of cutting up Biden and Obama. The man even found a way to throw in Hillary. Geez!

I don’t know about you but I would have like to hear more about Biden’s new tax and health plan, especially, how he intends to bring our country to a vibrate economy. It’s apparent that Trump had another agenda, and whether he knows it or not, he just continues to show just how much of an embarrassment and disgrace he is to America. Deepening the distrust and hatred of other countries toward America.

We were never a country that was well-liked by others, and that was because of our independence, our free speech, and other liberties that some may or may not have taken for granted, however, we were a country nonetheless that was looked upon as a land of opportunity. And since Trump has taken office that slogan that most of us Americans were proud of has changed. According to and what I and countless other Americans, define what America means today, is that America is no longer the land of opportunity for all, instead, it is the land of opportunity for only Caucasians. For it seems that Trump is hell-bent on taking America back in time to when race issues were at their worst. This White Supremacists. And slowly but surely, this country is slipping backward, to the praise of those who are in power now and to all the racists and bigots individuals who refuse to move forward and live in a country of unity and peace.

What are your thoughts? Please do share.

Good Morning Friends!

Hello Friends!

Hello, Howdy, and How are you? Its been so very long since I thought about, let alone had the time to sit and type out my thoughts here.

As always, whenever I go on a long hiatus, I return to a barely recognizable, upgraded, fresh way of posting what’s on my mind on WordPress. Although, it takes some time getting use to, one must admit that it is great that changes have been made to not take away from, but to improve and showcase the artistic flair of writers here on this platform. To that I say, “Kudos WordPress! Keep those improvements coming!”

How is everyone doing during this very unexpected and sudden plague that has been literally place on the steps of everyone’s door. More and more people are suffering from the virus, either personally, or by way of a friend or family member. When word of the virus became known to us peons, we were all nervous, and prayed that we would be spared from it. But as days became weeks, and weeks became months, we found out the hard way that this plague does not discriminate and has taken countless lives of many, young and old. And worst of all the plague is still among us and we are told that a cure is forth coming, and that the testing/trials will begin shortly, if they have not begun already. To this, we can only hope something positive comes from the trials and stay hopeful that a drug and/or vaccine will become available by the early part of next year, fingers crossed.

Until then, continue to don your masks and please stay safe.
